The Farm to Families Program (FFP) partners with Mansfield Mission Center food bank to allow access to the Mansfield Farm & Cottage Market for those in need. Vouchers are issued at the food bank and can be redeemed at the Market for farm products, cottage food, and goods.
This Endowment Fund operates off 100% donations to help provide for the community of Mansfield. BA Angus and Agriculture donates a portion of its sales to this fund. If you would like to become a contributor, please contact us.
Farming God's Way
Word Hope Ministries
BA Connects is hosting Family Garden Plots in preparation to send Amanda to Tanzania Africa to teach the “Farming Gods Way” agriculture course to villages who need a more secure food source. Partnering with Word Hope Ministries, Mansfield Bible Church is sending a team of folks in June/July for 2 weeks to conduct medical missions, support Word Hope, and teach these classes. Once the individual completes the class, they will be assigned a plot for their garden near their village and given a set of seeds to start their vegetable garden on the nearest edge of a 100 acre plot. The center of the 100 acres will be jointly farmed for the benefit of all the villages growing corn and sunflower (for seed oil).
BA Connects is opening up 7 plots for local families (or groups) to come out to the Farm and go through the Farming Gods Way class. This class will allow Amanda experiance her first growing season using this method (which has minor variations from our normal growing method) as well as teach the class before going to Tanzania. Those who join get to keep the produce from their plot; we ask that each plot is managed by your group at least 2x per week to help manage the garden and learn.
