BA Angus & Agriculture believes in providing healthy food options to those in need. The Farm to Families Program (FFP) partners with Mansfield Mission Center food bank to provide unsold produce or other farm goods to MMC food pantry and allow access for those in need to shop at the Mansfield Farm & Cottage Market through the use of a voucher system for those in need. Vouchers are issued at the food bank and can be redeemed at the Market for farm products, cottage food, and goods. Additionally, the Farm works to provide opportunities for those in need to obtain meat and other products from our product line.
This Endowment Fund operates off 100% donations to help provide for the community of Mansfield. BA Angus and Agriculture donates a portion of its sales to this fund. If you would like to become a contributor, please contact us.
BA Connects partners with Word Hope International to support farming operations in remote villages of Tanzania helping to provide food for under-fed people and teaching “Farming God’s Way” classes to improve their farming techniques thus providing improved crop yields and ultimately more food. Word Hope Ministries maintains a farm in the middle of several villages. Individuals from the surrounding villages will come to learn and when they complete the class, they will be assigned a garden plot within a communal 200 acres of farmland near their village and given a set of seeds to start their vegetable garden . The center of the 200 acres will be jointly farmed for the benefit of all the villages growing corn and sunflower (for seed oil).
