The Farm began in 2014 with a few chickens, ducks, and a garden and what developed into big dreams. In 2016, the Farmers were married in what is now the West Pasture, and a big Shindig & Potluck Dinner was held to celebrate the event. A few months later, the cash gifts from the wedding were compiled and the first 3 head of cattle were bought. Those 3 little Aberdeen Angus were all pregnant, and soon the small herd doubled. In 2017, BA Angus & Agriculture LLC was officially established with the State of Texas. Today, we run between 20-30 head of cattle, chickens, turkeys, llamas, dogs, cats, and a huge vegetable garden. We always strive to provide high quality products from our grass-fed-grass-finished beef, smoked heritage turkey, free-range chicken eggs, and fresh vegetables. We purposely select heritage or heirloom breeds and plant varieties; hybrids are strictly evaluated to determine the affects on the natural organism (plant or animal) and to the product quality (flavor, color, etc). Our Farm does not grow or raise Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO plant or animal) EVER. While we are not certified “Grass-Fed” or “Organic”, we adhere to most of those principles as well as develop our own methods to insure you receive the most natural raised and flavorful products available. We love to host tours and on site events for you to get to know our growing methods and experience the Farm.
