We raise mostly Aberdeen Angus cattle which traces back to the original breed of Angus from Scotland. They do an excellent job of converting grass to well marbled protein.

We grass feed and grass finish our cows, supplementing hay when necessary, to produce a healthy beef product (no grains = no Omega 6 “bad-for-you” fats)

It takes us 2+ years to grow a calf to harvest weight on grass.

The “BA” Brand is registered with the State of Texas and is a legal mark of ownership. Freeze branding identifies our cattle to help prevent theft or provide a link back to our farm if they happen to get out.

Annabelle is our dairy cow; while you can milk beef or dairy cattle, dairy cattle have been bred to produce more milk. Thus, we can have some milk for our family and the calf can still have enough.
